Meet The Luthier
I've been fascinated by the guitar and involved in the guitar community for the last 38 years. You can read my bio in the "music" portion of the site.

My adventure in building began during the pandemic with the documentary from greenfield guitars. michael greenfield's feature deeply set the hook in me. I was fascinated and enamored in taking a box of wood and parts and creating a world class work of art with it.

I apprenticed under world famous luthier Jeff Jewitt while at the same time rubbing elbows and making friendships with other world class builders including Ryan gerber and matt artinger.

Fast forward several hundred hours of study from texts and videos from the greats....Ervin somogyi, trevor gore and robbie o'brien. I've also spent a vast amount of time as part of the luthier's edge studying under the great tom bills. tom has been a huge influence in my design and build choices. most importantly, he has imprinted on me his philosophy behind every step that's taken to make the most responsive instrument possible.
Vision
my goal is to push the boundaries of what a guitar can be, There are a certain amount of "dues" to pay in building what everyone expects a guitar to be but progress and evolution is the goal.

How can I push the envelope not only in design but the science behind the sound. how does the wood move and react, how does the airflow inside the box act, what's the best way to vent the guitar to make it the most efficient and responsive work of art possible.

my vision is to create a work of art for others to create their art on.
